The Classic Cardigan

A cardigan can be many things, normally it would be a blouse with buttons or a zipper that goes all the way down the front of the blouse. It is used over another blouse as either an accessory or to keep warm, and on warm days it can be used as a replacement for the jacket. There are so many different styles when it comes to the cardigan, and it is important that you don't pick out one that is too different from your own personal style so you don't use it.

The typical cardigan would be a solid-coloured cardigan with long sleeves in wool or cotton. It may have a round neck or a V-neck, and buttons in the same colour as the fabric for the cardigan. This is the most simple cardigan you can find, and it will never be out of style. If you find one in a good quality, you should be able to use it for many years. If you find a good model that suits your style you should think about getting it in more colours, that suits your wardrobe. Then afterwards you can find cardigans that has different detailing, thought these details, like glitter, stones etc. will often only stay in fashion for one or two seasons.

The most important thing will be the fit of the cardigan, it has to flatter you body, and choose a colour or black/white that you like to wear and that suits you well.

Learn to do your make-up!

There are many women, young as well as old, who don't know how to put on a beautiful make-up. I've seen countless women who put on foundation that looked like a mask, and eye shadow that didn't look good in neither colour nor shape. But how are you supposed to know how to do it right (well you could use a mirror...)? It should almost be something you would learned in school :-)

But where can you go and get some qualified help? Some women look in magzines and use the tricks they read in them, and some go to get help in make-up stores, but is that really the best you could do? I often feel like I'm not getting the right product for ME, or the product doesn't make me feel like myself. I have tried to get my make-up done different places, where I have gotten drawn thick manly eyebrows, and wild coloured lipsticks that I would never ever choose to wear. But there is hope! You can actually learn how to put on make-up on youtube or on this webpage!

Later on I will write more about how you can do a great make-up and which products are good.

Do you want longer hair?

Long hair is gorgeous, if you can handle it! It needs a lot of care, but it is definitely worth it. The only problem is how to get it to grow fast enough.

As hair only grows appr. 1½ cm per month there are many who choose to get extensions, which can be done in much less time. This is of course a bit more expensive and far more troublesome. Besides there are some people that don't like having anything other than their own hair on their head.

Luckily there are some alternatives that should get your hair growing faster, if you don't like hair extensions. Some people think that vitamin B, Silica and Brewer's Yeast help, others think that Priorin and Formula 37 work, while some think that you just have to eat healthy. Either way, it depends entirely on who you are.

I found a website that claims to know how you get your hair growing 5 times faster than normal.

So take a look here if you want your hair to grow 5x faster!

The Classic White Shirt

Good quality shirts are indespensable in every wardrobe, no matter if you're going for the classic elegant look or the more trendy and sporty look. A shirt is incredibly wearable because you can wear it by itself, under a blazer, a pull-over or a cardigan, or you can wear the shirt open with a top under, either way, the shirt will always add some class to your look.

The white shirt is even more wearable than a couloured or print shirt, because it is like a blank canvas that you can add your own unique style to. Some will use the shirt with a knee-long skirt or pants for a buisness look, while others will use it with a mini skirt or jeans for a more casual look. Either way it will give a sofisticated and classic look.

It doesn't matter what brand or what it looks like, as long as the shirt is WHITE, and good quality is always a plus. Otherwise there are no boundaries for how it looks, it could have long, 3/4 or no sleeves, fringes, fancy buttons, lots of details, be made of a special fabric, of cotton, silk... you name it. And of course the shirt must fit you perfectly.

Underneath you can see two suggestions on how a white shirt can be;
On the left is a very simple 3/4 sleeved shirt. On the right is a more detailed sleeveless shirt, sleeveless shirts are especially great for hot summer days!

The classic Blazer

The classic traditional blazer is a must-have in every woman's closet. Used with a shirt and a knee-long skirt, or pants you will achieve a very formal and buisness-like look. But when the blazer is used in a combination with a T-shirt and a pair of jeans you get a more casual chic look. The blazer is especially good as an alternative jacket during spring and summertime.

Despite the fact that the blazer is usually used at the office, it was originally worn as a sports jacket and could be used on an ordinary day in town. A blazer does gives a more formal look and you will most likely be taken more serious when wearing it with a matching skirt or pants, like at the office, but it will add some class to any look.

There are many kinds of blazers, but if you're seeking a timeless classic it is important to look aside from all current style tendencies. Furthermore, if you're only looking to invest in one blazer for your closet then you should get one in black, navy blue or grey. While black can basically go with anything, the navy blue won't match a pair of black pants or a skirt as well as a black or grey blazer will.

The lenght and fit means a lot when it is something that you should be able to use for many years. You must definitely make sure that the size and shape is perfect for your body type, it has to fit over your shoulders and the lenght of the sleeves mustn't be too short. Remember that it will be you wearing the blazer, and therefore the lenght of it must fit your wishes for the use of it.

A classic style is good to have, because it never goes out of style. It can even be an investment to buy classic clothes, if you buy good quality. This can be expensive the moment you're paying for it, but it will be clothes that you can take out of the closet for years to come!

Pukka Cleanse Tea is wonderful!

I’ve been having some problems with my skin for some time, not a big problem, but enough to make me annoyed. Since I’m crazy about Pukka tea, I had to try their Cleanse tea which is said to purify the skin. The tea contains nettle leaf, peppermint leaf, fennel seed, dandelion root, licorice root and aloe vera. Cleanse tea has also won the “great taste gold 09” award, and it really does taste great!
I have now been drinking the tea about every other day for two weeks, and I’m so pleased with its effect. My skin is absolutely radiant and healthy. The tea has made my skin more even and the pores smaller. The best thing is that I haven’t changed anything in my daily skin treatment routine from before drinking the Cleanse tea, and I’ve even been eating quite unhealthy all this time, as I have quite a sweet tooth.
I would definitely recommend the Cleanse tea, because it doesn’t just taste great, it also takes care of my skin, exactly as it claims to do on the box.

Get a natural facelift in 7 days!

There comes a time in one’s life, where your skin gets loose and hangs, and wrinkles appear everywhere. Some accepts these signs of aging, while others choose to do something about it.

The things that keep people from getting plastic surgery may be:
- fear of side effects
- fear of looking fake
- fear of the reactions of others
- the prices
- needles and other scary tools
- fear of the anaesthesia not working
- fear of something going wrong during surgery

Before you leap into surgery it is important to research the people that are doing the surgery, aswell as how you want the result to be. Talk to your family and friends, explain them why you want the surgery, so they don’t get a big surprise. It is also important to have someone supporting you, as surgery can be a hard process to go through.

I myself is in my twenties, and I have already been through small surgeries. They didn’t have anything to do with aging, but with some things that affect me both physically and mentally. One surgery was a correction of my eyelids, as they pushed down on my eyes all the time, which resulted in constant headaches and a very sleepy look. The preparation lasted an hour, while the surgery itself was fifteen minutes. Everything was over so quickly that I didn’t even have time to get scared, and the result was perfect. At the same time my eyesight also improved.

But a larger surgery is another thing, and something that also terrifies me a bit. So I’m always on watch for natural solutions, that doesn’t involve any cutting.
There are obviously some parts that cannot be affected naturally after the damage is done. It is therefore important to take precautionary measures against it as well as you can, by using crème - especially on the face, neck, chest and hands, as these show the first signs of aging. There are also some exercises that can slow down the aging process, and that is something you can do no matter what age you are.

What bra to wear under white?!

The summer is on its way, and so are the light colours. But what colour bra should you wear under your white garments? It is a dilemma which many women face and therefore we have made a test on this subject.
Underneath there are three pictures of a test person with respectively a black bra, a tan bra, and a white bra under a white blouse. Which one shines through the least?

In the first picture, the black bra is too dark and gives a big colour contrast under the white blouse. Although black isn’t considered the worst choice to wear under white.

In the last picture the white bra shines right through the white fabric. This is a classic mistake which should be avoided.

In the middle picture a tan/beige bra was used which can’t be seen through the white blouse. This is because it imitates the skin of the test subject. The darker your skin is, the darker your bra can be under white garments.

The conclusion would be not to wear a white bra under your white garments.
